Natural Cosmetics

Every woman is born with a unique beauty and the cosmetics are only enhancing and emphasizing that beauty. Furthermore, real beauty isn't just looks. It is also about inner strength, self-confidence and living in harmony with nature's design for us.

Skin is the biggest organ of our body: it covers about 1.8 sq. m. The face and neck skin is especially sensitive. Because it is an organ, bringing to life thing, it should be nourished as any odder part of the body. Beside the nutrition we get through food, the skin also ingests nutrients from cosmetics. These go directly to the bloodstream, without the digestion process. And like all ingested substances they become raw material for building new body tissue or they become toxic waste.

So, are we nourishing it the right way? Many cosmetic products on the market are advertised to be "natural", based on plant extracts, enzymes etc. Only if you read the small print you find that this natural ingredients constitute only a small percent of the product. The rest are synthetic and chemical ingredients: dyes, emulsifiers, preservatives and fragrances.

The only ingredients used in the following recipes are plants and herbs or there natural extracts and essences, pure vegetable oils, pure water, honey, milk, cocoa butter, whole vegetables and fruits, sea salt, pure clay powder and natural bee wax.

Using quality cosmetics is important, but it is not the only factor of healthy and beautiful skin:
  • Sleep is the simplest basic treatment for our skin. The right amount of sleep (about 6-8 hours a night) is very important for the health of the skin.
  • Diet directly influences the state of the skin. Eating healthy and balanced meals is very important.
  • Regular physical activity helps increase blood circulation in the skin surface, thus encouraging regeneration. It also helps reduce stress.
  • Stress can have a drastic effect on our skin: discoloration, blemishes, puffy eyes. It promotes the formation of wrinkles. Try to relax your face when you feel stressed out and nervous.
However, cosmetics nourish and protect your skin from the harsh environment (e.g. air pollution). The natural cosmetics can help your skin to regenerate.
